History

An interesting design of the German Empire, the Mauser M1914 was, as the name suggests, a Pocket Pistol. Created in the wake of Mauser M1910's success, the M1914 was designed for the more powerful 7.65x17mm Browning round and featured a number of improvements over the original, including better cocking serrations, improved iron sights, and fixed the firing pin to prevent it from being lost. It was a popular pistol, reliable, compact, and accurate, and would continue its service even as late as World War Two, manufactured as a replacement pistol for rear echelons and civilians.
