The Mondragón Optical is a primary weapon for the Medic class in Battlefield 1.

The Mexican Mondragón was the first self-loading rifle to be adopted by a military on a large scale. Some were issue to German infantry but most were assigned to their airforce.
History[]
Created by general Manuel Mondragón, the Fusil Porfirio Diaz Sistema Mondragón Modelo 1908 is the third of his designs, distinct for being one of the first self-loading rifles to see service. Chambered in 7x57mm Mauser, the rifle was intended to be used as the standard weapon of the Mexican Rifle, but the Mexican Revolution resulted in only a tenth of the order reaching the shores of Central America before the order was cancelled. Steppin in, the German Empire bought the unshipped rifles from SIG and pressed them into service. Sensitive to fouling in the trenches, the rifle wound up in aviation service and was only unseated when the synchronization gear was perfected and double machineguns took its place.
