The Gasser M1870 is a sidearm weapon for the assault class in Battlefield 1.
In-Game Text
Though long obsolete by the start of the war, the Gasser was still favored by Austrian stormtroops for its stopping power.
History
Introduced into Austro-Hungarian cavalry in 1870, the M1870 was designed by Leopold Gasser and chambered for the 11.25x36mmR (rimmed) cartridge. A hand-held cannon capable of stopping any target in its tracks, by the time World War One broke out it was an aging, practically outdated design. However, among Austro-Hungarian frontline troops, the old, reliable Gasser M1870 was prized. Why? The aforementioned ability to make people stop what they're doing and die, that's what.

Gameplay
The Gasser is inaccurately portrayed, as it only carried five rounds per cylinder, not six.
