Battlefield 1 is a first person shooter in the Battlefield series set during World War I and featuring 64-player battles.

Description

The dawn of all-out-war

Experience the origins of modern warfare where the old world was destroyed, giving way to the new one. Use the innovative, modern weaponry and vehicles of World War I as you battle across the land, air and sea.

The game will feature a single-player campaign and multiplayer maps that will support up to 64 players. There will be a new squad system that will allow teams to persist while swapping between servers. It will feature a number of World War I vehicles such as biplanes, triplanes, naval vessels, heavy tanks, armored trucks, motorcycles, and horses.

Release date

At the time of this writing, Battlefield 1 is scheduled to release October 21, 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Origin.

A beta has been confirmed, but there is no date as of yet. Battlefield insiders will be able to get into the beta early; signing up is free.
