The Autoloading 8 .25 Factory is a primary weapon for the Medic class in Battlefield 1.
In-Game Text[]
The first successful American-made semi-auto rifle, the Model 8 shares the same long recoil mechanism as the Automatic 5 shotgun.
History[]
Designed by John Browning and produced by Remington Arms, the Remington Model 8 was originally known as the Remington Autoloading Rifle. It used the same long-recoil principle as the Auto-5 shotgun and was offered in five calibers, four of which were developed specifically for it: .25, .30, .32, and .35 Remington, with the .300 Savage rounding out the selection. Oddly enough, the primary recipients of the rifle were hunters, rather than soldiers, particularly of the Belgian variant, the FN M1900.
